Mathematics

Multiplying both sides of this eq'n by 2 will eliminate the fractions and thus simplify the problem.  The left side becomes 3g-2 and the right side becomes g.  Thus, you have 3g-2 = g.
Subtract g from both sides:  2g-2=0.  Add 2 to both sides:  2g=2.
Divide both sides by 2:  g = 1 (answer).

Answer:

  see below

Step-by-step explanation:

Each point moves to half its previous distance from P. It is probably easier to count grid squares on the graph than it is to do the math on the coordinates.

If you're doing the math on the coordinates, it is convenient to use P = (0, 0), then multiply each of the coordinates of A, B, and C by 1/2. For example:

  A' = (1/2)A = (1/2)(8, 4) = (4, 2)

Graph the first six terms of a sequence where a1 = −10 and d = 3.
Neko [114]

notice the first term is -10, and the common difference is 3, so we add 3 to get the next term.

\bf \begin{array}{cccll}\stackrel{x}{n}&term&\stackrel{y}{value}\\\text{\textemdash\textemdash\textemdash}&\text{\textemdash\textemdash\textemdash}&\text{\textemdash\textemdash\textemdash}\\1&a_1&-10\\\\2&a_2&\stackrel{-10+3}{-7}\\\\3&a_3&\stackrel{-7+3}{-4}\\\\4&a_4&\stackrel{-4+3}{-1}\\\\5&a_5&\stackrel{-1+3}{2}\\\\6&a_6&\stackrel{2+3}{5}\end{array}

Caroline, Colin &amp; Sarah share some money.
Alex787 [66]

Caroline, Colin & Sarah share some money.Caroline will get \dfrac{2}{3}  when Caroline, Colin & Sarah share some money.

<h3>What is the ratio?</h3>

The ratio defined as the sharing of the two or three things or it represent that one thing or number is how many times to the other.

One part is excluded in the problem. That part is:

"Caroline gets \dfrac{1}{9} of the money."

If Caroline gets 1/9th, then remaining is:

1-\dfrac{1}{9}=\dfrac{8}{9}

Colin and Sarah share in ratio 3 is to 1, that means 3 + 1 = 4 parts...

8/9th in 4 parts means, each part is:

\dfrac{\dfrac{8}{9}}{4}=\dfrac{2}{9}

We know Colin gets "3" parts of the total, each part is (2/9)th, so 3 parts would be:

3\times \dfrac{2}{9}=\dfrac{6}{9}=\dfrac{2}{3}

Colin gets  \dfrac{2}{3} money when three of them share money.
