The Fertile Crescent includes Mesopotamia, the land in and around the Tigris and Euphrates rivers; and the Levant, the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea. The modern-day countries with significant territory within the Fertile Crescent are Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Cyprus, Jordan, Israel, Palestine, Egypt, as well as the southeastern fringe of Turkey and the western fringes of Iran
Romanticism was influenced by the enlightenment period which had classicism as its dominant art form. They were people who believed that classicism was too rigid and focused too much on scientific things and logic and being rational and wanted to speak more about mystic things and feelings and nature and supernatural and things like that, put more emotion and soul into writing.
Age of realism came as a response to this because they believed that romanticism was too melodramatic and depicted the world in a wrong way. They believed that people were being exploited by the society and the feudal lords or kings and that art should depict the world as it is in order to make people realize how bad things were. They believed romanticism artists were unaware of the troubles the people were going through.<span />
Anschluss was the name of the union of Austria and Germany in March 1938. It happened after the collapse of the Habsburg. After the annexation, the US criticized the chaos in Germany and formulated a foreign policy in order to respond to Hitler’s aggressive foreign policy. This was a problem for the US and the allies because it showed that Hitler had no care for peace and got even more strongly with the annexation of Austria - it subsequently increased the size of Germany’s military -.
