Would you withdraw CSF if the needle were accidentally inserted into the epidural space instead of the subarachnoid

Answer: No. You would not withdraw CSF if the needle is in the epidural space.

Explanation: There are 3 spaces that cover the spinal cord, which are epidural, subdural and subarachnoid spaces. The epidural space is the outer most space while the subarachnoid space is the inner most space. CSF flows from the brain where it is produced to the spinal cord. In the spinal cord it flows only in the subarachnoid space. Thus you would not be able to withdraw CSF if the needle is in the epidural space.

A student set up an experiment to show the effect of light color on photosynthesis in Elodea plants. She filled three test tubes
VashaNatasha [74]

Answer:

Tube A will turn red the fastest.

Explanation:

 • Tube A will turn red fastest because Elodea plants will take up the white light and carry out photosynthesis.

 • In tube B, the red colour will not be generated fastly because plants do not use green light. Usually, the green light is just reflected by the plants and it is not absorbed.

 • In tube C, no photosynthesis will be able to occur because due to the wrapped aluminium foil the plants could not receive any light for photosynthesis.

Describe the ways mutations can affect DNA and chromosomes.
lozanna [386]
Mutations present permanent and heritable changes in the genome. We distinguish gene and chromosome mutations. Mutations in the level of genes are called point mutations because only one to several nucleotides are changed. These processes are known as deletion, insertion, and substitution. Deletion presents a loss of nucleotides which changes DNA sequence. When new nucleotides are embedded in the DNA chain, it is known as insertion. Substitution implies the process where new nucleotides are inserted while the ones that were present in that specific spot in a DNA molecule are deleted.
Mutations can also appear in chromosomes altering their number and structure. There are four types of mutations - deletion, duplication, inversion, and translocation. In deletion, a whole or one part of a chromosome is lost. Duplication presents an extra copy of a whole or one part of a chromosome. In an inversion, parts of a chromosome change order, while in translocation a part of one chromosome detaches and then connects to another.

You farm kelp and sell the kelp for food and as fertilizer. The wastes from the kelp can be used in an integrated aquaculture sy
timama [110]
A sustainable system refers to producing less or probably non-existent debris that are caused by the production of a particular material (i.e. produce, energy). This is a sustainable form of production of coupling algae growth and fish farming because you no longer need the supply of fish feed from other sources that are made artificially but rather, you are using the available algae growth that you are culturing. Farm fishing alone is non-renewable because this produces much waste that can directly harm the environment.
