Elan Coil [88]

Answer:

There is no end to war!- (line 12)

And the generals have accomplished nothing. (line 18)

Explanation:

The poem "Nefarious War" by the Chinese poet Li Po is a four stanza poem where he describes the uselessness of wars and their devastating effects. The poem talks of the war that the Chinese people must have been through.

The main theme of the whole poem seems to be the harmful and uselessness of fighting wars. The horrific wars that men have to be a part of, the horrors that these wars inflict on them are all the effects of the wars. The lines

There is no end to war!- (line 12)

And the generals have accomplished nothing. (line 18)

best expresses the theme of the poem.
