Answer:

Sexual reproduction increases the genetic variation of a species because it involves combining of genetic materials of two parents/individuals to form  an offspring.

Explanation:

Sexual reproduction is a type of reproduction that involves formation of an offspring by combination of male and female gametes. Each gamete carries a haploid set of chromosomes. When gametes from both the parents combine, a zygote is formed which has a diploid set of chromosomes. So, sexual reproduction involves combination of genetic materials of two different individuals, hence, it leads to genetic variation.

In humans, the allele for hemophilia, h , is recessive. Which phenotype is displayed in an individual with the genotype X H Y?
DerKrebs [107]
It's definitely not the woman, so I'd say it's B. As the trait is recessive, a person who doesn't have hemophilia itself is likely to be able to pass it on to there children.

How did the discovery of the rhesus factor affect society?
MrRissso [65]

The discovery of the Rhesus factor affected society by improving the success rate of blood transfusions. Prior to the Rhesus system being implemented, blood was typed according to the ABO system alone. This meant a significant number of blood transfusions failed due to immunogenic reactions to the rhesus factor leading to agglutination of blood. It also helped prenatal care as people became aware of the possibility of the mother and child being Rhesus incompatible. This condition could be combated by an injection of antibodies.
