Answer:

<h3>\frac{1}{2}</h3><h3 /><h3 />

Step-by-step explanation:

<h3 /><h3>[- 4/5] [- 14/9] = 56/45</h3>

<h3>= 56/45×3/7×15/16</h3><h3 /><h3>1. Apply the fraction rule : <u>a</u> × <u>c</u> = <u>a </u><u>×</u><u> </u><u>c</u></h3><h3> b d. b d</h3><h3 /><h3>=  \frac{56 \times 3 \times 15}{45 \times 7 \times 16}</h3><h3 /><h3>2. Factor the number : 56 = 7 ×8</h3>

<h3>=  \frac{7 \times 8 \times 3 \times 15}{45 \times 7 \times 16}</h3><h3 /><h3>3. Cancel the common factor : 7</h3>

<h3>=  \frac{8 \times 3 \times 15}{45 \times 16}</h3><h3 /><h3>3. Factor the number : 16 = 8 × 3</h3>

<h3>=  \frac{8 \times 3 \times 15}{45 \times 8 \times 2}</h3><h3 /><h3>4. Cancel the common factor : 8</h3>

<h3>=  \frac{3 \times 15}{45 \times 2}</h3><h3 /><h3>5. Factor the number : 45 = 3 × 15</h3>

<h3>=  \frac{3 \times 15}{3 \times 15 \times 2}</h3><h3 /><h3>6. Cancel the common factor : 3 </h3>

<h3>=  \frac{15}{15 \times 2}</h3>

<h3>7. Cancel the common factor : 15</h3>

Find the coordinates of the other endpoint of the segment, given its midpoint M and one
Molodets [167]

Answer:

P(2c - h, 2n - s )

Step-by-step explanation:

If there are two points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) on the coordinate plane

then midpoint is given by (x1+x2)/2 , (y1+y2)/2

_________________________________________________

in the problem midpoint is m(c,n)

one point is Q(h,s)

let other point be P(x,y)

By using midpoint formula given above

for point P(x,y) and Q(h,s)

midpoint = (x+h)/2, (y+s)/2

also midpoint is m(c,n)

comparing m(c,n) with (x+h)/2, (y+s)/2

c = x+h/2

=> 2c = x+h

=> 2c - h = x

n = (y+s)/2

=> 2n = y+s

=> 2n - s = y

Thus, second endpoint is P(x,y) = P(2c - h, 2n - s )

Writing lan's car can go 217 miles on 7 gallons of gas. During a drive last weekend, lan used
jolli1 [7]

Answer: Ian would have drove 91 miles using only 3 gallons of gas.

Step-by-step explanation: I used paper and pencil and used a T-chart putting one section at the top “gallons” and the other “miles”; under gallons I put 7 because the question stated with “7 gallons of gas”; under miles I put 217 because the question states that with 7 gallons of gas Ian’s car travels 217 miles so using the T-chart I want to simply the 7 gallons of gas to one gallon of gas to figure out how miles Ian’s car would go only using 3 gallons of gas; by dividing 7 by 7 giving me 1, and with a T-chart you wanna do the same thing to both sides meaning I divided 217 by 7 as well giving me 31 for 1 gallon of gas, meaning Ian’s car would travel 31 miles with only using 1 gallon of gas. After I find that answer I go to multiply the 1 under “gallons” by 3 to and again, if you do it to one side you have to do it to the other meaning I multiplied 31 my 3 as well; giving me 91. Meaning with only using 3 gallons of gas Ian’s car would travel 91 miles!
