I don't know.  I'll have to figure it out.

Probability =

       (number of successful possible results) / (total possible results) .

Total possible results for the spinner . . . 8
Successful ones (getting a  1, 2, 3, 4, or 5) . . . 5

Theoretical probability  =  5/8 .

So you expect (5/8 of 150) spins to be successful.

         (5/8 times 150)  =  93.75

Yes !
93  or  94  is a good answer.

Evaluate the expression and put your answer in fraction form.
dolphi86 [110]

Answer:

46\frac{2}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Simplify inside the parentheses:

(\frac{1}{3}+9)  this one first

This can be simplified simply by adding the whole number to join as a mixed fraction:

9\frac{1}{3}

Simplify the mixed fraction by using the rule: a\frac{b}{c}=\frac{ac+b}{c}

9\frac{1}{3}=\frac{9*3+1}{3}\\\\\frac{28}{3}

Keep this (\frac{28}{3})

(8-3)

Simplify

(5)

Put together:

(\frac{28}{3})*(5)

Simplify parentheses

\frac{28}{3}*5

Simplify

\frac{28}{3} *\frac{5}{1}\\ \\\frac{28*5}{3} \\\\\frac{140}{3}

Convert to mixed fraction:

46\frac{2}{3}

Done.
