Explain Segregation of alleles, using pea plant triats in your example. Help
earnstyle [38]
Segregation of alleles happens when the pair of alleles of each parent separate and only one allele passes from each parent on to an offspring. So if you had heterozygous tall plants and mated them (Tt x Tt), they would each separate into T and t, allowing each offspring to get either a T or a t from each parent. The possible genotypes would be TT, Tt and tt.

1. How are populations of chimpanzees affected by slash and burn agriculture? 2. Which features of chimpanzees make them more di
sergij07 [2.7K]

Answer:

1. Slash and Burn agriculture refers to a technique of farming that requires plants in a forest or woodland to be decimated to create a cultivable expanse of land.

Some of these plants are usually homes to wild chimpanzees. The more they are cut down, the deeper into the forests they would migrate, that's if they ever find a place like it.

2. When compared to the other primates such as monkeys, baboons, etc their larger body size, puts them at a disadvantage. This is because when they are placed in a restricted space, they need more food which in turn translates to increased height and weight.

Cheers!

What determines the color of soil
shutvik [7]

Answer:

Actually, the main pigmenting (coloring) agents in soils are organic matter, iron, and, to a lesser extent, manganese. When these agents are not covering the mineral grains, the natural color of the grains is visible. Colour is a simple method of classifying soil. Black/dark brown soil usually indicates the presence of decaying organic matter so is generally fertile. Pale brown/yellow soil often indicates that organic matter and nutrients are low and this generally means poor fertility and structure.he colour of the soil varies from one place to the other because soil is formed out of different types of rock . Since rocks are of different colours and textures , the colour of the soil varies from one place to another .

How might green spaces help reduce the negative impact that humans have on Earth’s water supply?
hoa [83]

It would give nature a place to fight back, and become more healthy, and less hindered. Cities mess up the evaporation cycle, and because of parks, the water is able to be soaked up by grass, and then released through evaporation. When it rains over a city, the water goes into gutters, and becomes more polluted.
