The total height of the card tower will be 43 inches.

What is the height?

The height is a vertical distance between two points. We have given that to make a card tower using 3.5 in. tall cards. you decide to make the base of the triangles 2.50 in. how tall would a tower with 10 tiers be?

To calculate the height of the triangular tower we will use the Pythagorean theorem which states that Pythagorean theorem states that in the right-angle triangle the hypotenuse square is equal to the square of the sum of the other two sides.

The figure of the triangle is attached with the answer below The Hypotenuse is 3.5 and the base is 2.5 so the height will be calculated as:-

H² = 3.5 ² - 2.5 ²

H² = 12.25 + 6.25 = 18.5

H = √18.5 = 4.3 inches.

The height of one tier is 4.3 inches so the height of the 10 tiers will be

H = 4.3 x 10 = 4.3 inches.

Therefore the total height of the card tower will be 43 inches.

30 lbs of potatoes cost $360. How much would 13 lbs cost?
gregori [183]

Answer:

$156

Step-by-step explanation:

To find how many pounds of potatos an amount is, it's valuable to find how much *one* pound is

With just dividing both sides by 30, we can get that one pount of potatos costs $12

Since we want how much 13 pounds we cost, simply multiple 12 by 13 which gives us an amount of $156

Write an equation in slop-intercept form for the line that passes through (5, 4) and is parallel to the line y = 2x + 1.
Vladimir79 [104]

Answer:

y = 2x - 6

Step-by-step explanation:

The slopes of parallel lines have the same slope, so the other line must also have a slope of 2.

First, we know that an equation in point-slope form is y-y1 = m(x-x1). We can plug in the values here (5, 4) into the equation:

y - 4 = 2(x-5)

Simplify:

y - 4 = 2x - 10

Therefore, the equation is:

y = 2x - 6
