Part A Predict what will happen to the coordinates of a point (x, y) as the point reflects across a line to produce point (x', y

'). Choose the x-axis, y-axis, y = x and y = -x for the lines of reflection. Express your answers in terms of x and y. (Be sure to watch your signs.)

The list attached shows the coordinate of (x, y) after transformation when reflecting over x, y-axis, and lines y = x, y = -x

<h3>What is geometric transformation?</h3>

It is defined as the change in coordinates and the shape of the geometrical body. It is also referred to as a two-dimensional transformation. In the geometric transformation, changes in the geometry can be possible by rotation, translation, reflection, and glide translation.

We have two lines of reflection:

y = x and

y = -x

The point is (x, y)

After reflecting over line y = x the coordinate (x, y) becomes:

(y, x)

After reflecting over the line y = -x the coordinate (x, y) becomes:

(-y, -x)

Thus, the list attached shows the coordinate of (x, y) after transformation when reflecting over x, y-axis, and lines y = x, y = -x

1,290=h/10+h/5 What is h?
alekssr [168]

Answer:

4300

h/10 + 2h/10

= 1290

3h/10 = 1290

3h = 12,900

h = 4300

If x^2+1/x^2=3 find the value of x^2/(x^2+1)^2<br> Express answer as a common fraction.<br> Thanks!!
timama [110]

x^2+\dfrac1{x^2}=3\implies x^4+1=3x^2\implies x^4-3x^2+1=0

By the quadratic formula,

x^2=\dfrac{3\pm\sqrt5}2\implies x^2+1=\dfrac{5\pm\sqrt5}2

Then

(x^2+1)^2=\dfrac{25\pm10\sqrt5+5}4=\dfrac{15\pm5\sqrt5}2

\implies\dfrac{x^2}{(x^2+1)^2}=\dfrac{\frac{3\pm\sqrt5}2}{\frac{15\pm5\sqrt5}2}=\dfrac{3\pm\sqrt5}{15\pm5\sqrt5}

Multiply numerator and denominator by the denominator's conjugate:

\dfrac{3\pm\sqrt5}{15\pm5\sqrt5}\cdot\dfrac{15\mp5\sqrt5}{15\mp5\sqrt5}=\dfrac{45\pm15\sqrt5\mp15\sqrt5-25}{15^2-(5\sqrt5)^2}=\dfrac{20}{100}=\dfrac15

If the Laffite family deposits $8500 in savings account at 6.75% interest, compounded continuously, how much will be in the acco
vitfil [10]

Answer:

Option b

Step-by-step explanation:

We have a compound interest problem. With an annual interest rate of 0.675 and an initial payment of 8500, with t = 25 years

Then you must use the annual compound interest formula, which is represented by a growing exponential function:

y = e ^{ht}

Where:

h is the interest rate of 0.675

y is the money in the savings account as a function of time

Then substitute the values in the formula and we have:

y = e ^{0.675(25)}

y = 45,950.57

Compare properties of squares and rhombi to properties of other quadrilaterals by answering each question. Write a brief explana
GuDViN [60]
Hey there! Hello!

Not sure if you still need these answers, but I'd love to help out if you do!

Now, I want you to go ahead and think of some stuff that's true for squares. To name a few, the opposite sides are going to be parallel to one another, all the angles are 90°, all the sides are the same length, and both diagonals are going to be perpendicular and equal in length. I'm sure there's even more, but I'll leave that to you. (BTW, by diagonals, I mean the lines that go through the the opposite diagonal corners).

What about rectangles? The opposite sides are going to be parallel to one another, the diagonals are going to be equal in length, and the angles are going to be 90°.

Now, rhombi. All sides are going to be equal, opposite sides are going to be parallel, the diagonally opposite angles will be equal to each other, and the diagonals bisect each other at 90°.

And lastly, parallelograms. Pretty similar to rhombi in that they have parallel opposite sides and that the opposite diagonal angles are equal to each other, but there's one thing that makes a parallelogram not a rhombus.

If you differentiate the stuff I described, you'll be golden. There's a lot to choose from, and I personally like to have options. Hope this helped you out, feel free to ask me any additional questions you have! :-)
