Napoleon said: “When we fight, no matter in what country, it is a civil war we make.” Do you agree with him? If yes or no why? U
vladimir2022 [97]

This line is part of the “Military Maxims of Napoleon”, a collection of tenets on the art of war which are still an inspiration for military students. Through this line, he makes his war beliefs and tactics clear. We should also consider the meaning of civil war: it is a war which if fought between different groups of people (different in religion, political ideas, etc) of the same territory. Having this in mind we can mention for example The Napoleonic Wars (1803–1815). They consisted in a series of battles between France and other European powers, financed and usually led by the United Kingdom. Among these we can mention The Battle of Waterloo 1815, the Battle of Trafalgar 1805, etc.

I agree in the sense that inevitably whenever there is a war there are 2 groups of a different nature, sharing the territory but fighting for a reason. I also believe that the “civil war they make wherever they fight” does not necessarily imply military participation. Nowadays, we see many countries, mainly Latin American ones, in which the different economic and political conflicts (“wars”) produce a gap and a clash between different national or local groups (“civil war”).

Why did you think that Rainsford chooses to confront Zaroff in the end, rather than simply ambush him?
NeTakaya

Answer:

He wants Zaroff to feel like he's being hunted. Rainsford has now tracked him down and his him on an even playing field. Zaroff is now the one who has to fight to stay alive. Aside from this, I think an ambush would be pretty difficult. Rainsford is unarmed and Zaroff is tucked away somewhere in his great chateau. A sneak attack probably wouldn't be successful.

How did Mongol migratory patterns affect their production and distribution?
vagabundo [1.1K]

Answer: Mongols did not necessarily need to expand their territories as much as they did. The pull factor for Mongol imperialism is directly related to the push factors. They may have included climactic and geographic issues impacting the nomadic tribes but most likely were due to the Mongols being enthusiastically militaristic.

"Explain the role of family in slave life. Include a description of the family, slave owner involvement, and the actions of the
spin [16.1K]

Answer:

A slave's family:

Long before now, there was a time in the United States where the British rule brought many slaves from around the globe into the region. And constructed plantations for the production of sugar, rum, cotton and other materials in it. As there were whole families of slaves who worked for the same cause to benefit there master or slave owner. As they were all considered a property of that slave owner who brought them to the States.

 • But, the slave families faced many issues regarding the confiscation basic rights, being tortured by the slave owners, and felt lack of respect from the white people or white communities inside the region.

Explanation:

 • Lack of basic rights for the slaves:

There were no institution or system which protected the basic rights of the slaves, as they were considered more as some other beings, and tortured the people who migrated to the region in order to make them work and benefit the system. So, families were not protected and they had no basic rights while being slaves in the region.

 • Lack of personnel space, as slaves were prohibited to do any business or buy any property:

The slave families had no personnel space for them to spend some time, as the slave owners interfered in there normal life activities. Slave kids were tortured by making them work more in the fields and house chores were performed by these kids by the command of the slave owners. While the slaves parent had no power to ask why?. As in that time the slave owner had the authority to wipe, torture, and buy any slave family member.
