Hi student, let me help you out! :)

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

We are asked to find the slope of the line that contains the points (-2, 7) and (2, 3).

\triangle~\fbox{\bf{KEY:}}

  • Finding the slope is a piece of cake, as long as we use this formula:

\star~\mathrm{\cfrac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}}

Where:

y2 and y1 = y-coordinates

x2 and x1 = x-coordinates

Substitute the values, which gives us:

\mathrm{\cfrac{3-7}{2-(-2)}}

Upon simplifying this,

\mathrm{\cfrac{-4}{2+2}}

Upon simplifying this more,

\mathrm{\cfrac{-4}{4}}

\bigstar~\mathrm{\underline{-1}}

Hope it helps you out! :D

Solve for x 1/2+4/2x=x+4/10
Ksivusya [100]
\frac{1}{2} + \frac{4}{2}x =x + \frac{4}{10}
\frac{1}{2} +2x=x+\frac{2}{5}
subtract x from each side
\frac{1}{2} + x=\frac{2}{5}
now subtract \frac{1}{2} from each side
x= -0.1

Hope I could help
