4.23-2.75

= 4.00 + 0.20 + 0.03 -2.00 - 0.70 - 0.05
= 2.00 + 0.20 + 0.03 - 0.70 - 0.05
= 2.00 - 0.50 - 0.02
= 1.50 - 0.02
= 1.48
