The domain is the x-values, in functions, they are always infinite. The ranges however, are the y-values, and they have either have a maximum point or a minimum point. So the first 2 are automatically out. The y-axis in the maximum is 9, so we eliminate the third option. The fourth option is the only remaining one and is the correct answer.
