Answer:

Starr mentions her father's theory that Harry Potter is about gangs, which I found really interesting: Daddy claims the Hogwarts houses are really gangs. They have their own colors, their own hideouts, and they are always riding for each other, like gangs.

How do the missionary first get the villagers in Mbanta excited about Christianity?
soldier1979 [14.2K]
Firstly, how could someone get excited about another saying there god is fake. It just made me giggle a little

Next, it would be the hymns. The bringing together of the community was a huge part of Things Fall Apart. God and stuff is all good and that. But they already had that. They had multiple gods. They had ways of getting around that were reliable for them. But the hymns brought them together like their wrestling tradition, it was a coaxing. A way for the missionaries to "incorporate" their traditions into the Christian way and make Christianity look appealing to the people of Mbanta.

I honestly love this book and all it shows from the perspective of the oppressed and colonized people, who were oppressed in their own country.

According to Newmark, the history of translation studies is marked by the conflict between the "inherent impossibility" of trans
GenaCL600 [577]

The above question wants to analyze your writing and acting skills. By the way, I can't write an answer for you, but I'll show you how to write it.

The conflict shown in the question occurs because the translation is unable to convey the exact message of the text in its original language. This is because translation always uses adaptation and concept suppression between languages.

However, even within this impossibility, translation is necessary to keep texts alive and move them through new cultures. An example of this is Chinese texts, which have concepts and ideas very intrinsic to Chinese culture, which are impossible to explain in another language but have meanings that must be understood in other cultures.

Once you understand this, you can write your staple.

<h3>Steps to write the paragraph.</h3>
  • Start with a topic sentence where you will determine the subject to be addressed.
  • Present your argument on the matter.
  • Provide evidence to support your argument.
  • Complete your positioning and end the paragraph.

harina [27]

Answer:

He greatly values the traditional beliefs of the Pueblo people.

Explanation:

Leslie Chapman's magic realism story "The Man To Send Rain Clouds" tells the story of how the death of the old man Teofilo reveals the conflicting rituals that concerns the beliefs of the Pueblo Indians and the Christian believers. This short story deals with this conflict between the two groups of believers, culminating in the decision on how to bury the old man's dead body.

Set in the time of drought, the Pueblo Indians belief that the departed souls do look after the needs of the people left behind. Likewise, Leon believes that if the priest sprinkle his grandfather's grave with the holy water, then they can sure expect him to "<em>send them big thunder clouds  for sure</em>". This shows that he still hold a strong belief in the Pueblo Indian people's belief in their traditional ways. He even refused to have a Christian burial for his grandfather, instead opting for their traditional method.
