Read the rough draft of a student's conclusion to an
Verdich [7]

Answer:

Although many still claim that evidence about year-round school and its link to higher achievement is inconclusive, studies consistently reveal that year-round students score higher on certain assessments than those students who attend schools with traditional nine-month calendars.

Explanation:

All options you were given are the following:

 • Although many still claim that evidence about year-round school and its link to higher achievement is inconclusive, studies consistently reveal that year-round students score higher on certain assessments than those students who attend schools with traditional nine-month calendars.
 • Although many still claim that evidence about year-round school and its link to higher achievement is inconclusive, this theory is wrong because students in year-round schools consistently score higher on certain assessments than those students who attend schools with traditional nine-month calendars.
 • Although many still claim that evidence about year-round school and its link to higher achievement is inconclusive, they would admit defeat if only they would do their research and find that students in year-round schools consistently score higher on certain assessments than those students who attend schools with traditional nine-month calendars.
 • Although many still claim that evidence about year-round school and its link to higher achievement is inconclusive, these people need to study their facts and acknowledge that students in year-round schools consistently score higher on certain assessments than those students who attend schools with traditional nine-month calendars.

The first option is the best one because it is completely objective. Objective statements are statements that contain only facts, statements uninfluenced by personal beliefs, emotions, and assumptions. The student uses data from some research, which makes the statement objective. The tone is also appropriate - it's neutral. Other statements lack objectiveness and their tone is not as neutral as it should be.

Read the passage.
Anton [14]

In this passage from Morte d’Arthur by Sir Thomas Malory, the key word to understand the whole idea of the happenings is: adder, it means snake.

And if you still have doubts about the general idea of the passage and think that the first three options: “King Arthur attempts to slay, or kill, Sir Mordred”. “Sir Mordred fatally wounds King Arthur”.” King Arthur and Sir Mordred are expressing their distrust of each other.” Can be correct, read this sentence:

“and so rode to his party, and Sir Mordred in likewise.”

None of the first three options can be posible if the two of the knights go together to a party afterwards.

The right answer is:

A knight kills a snake with his sword.

What is the irony of Rebecca Nurse and Martha Corey's situations? The crucible
UkoKoshka [18]

Answer:

(All confessions up until now have been lies.) Rebecca Nurse is accused of supernaturally murdering Ann Putnam's babies. This is situational irony because you would never expect Rebecca to be accused since she is so kind and good. Reverend Parris complains about his low pay and wants the deed to the house.

What can be observed from this painting? Check all that apply.
xz_007 [3.2K]

The things that could be observed from a painting are that it is a portrait of a man, it shows visible brush strokes, and displays bold colors.

Even though there was no attached painting, we would be able to see these things within the painting. You can see what is contained in the painting, how it was painted, and what colors the painting is. However, you can not see when a painting was created or know that it is part of a large collection by simply looking at the painting.
