Sharecropping allowed very poor farmers, both white and black, to make a living by mule land while a local merchant supplied food and supplies on credit.

 • The sharecropping system had come to dominate agriculture throughout the cotton-growing South by the early 1870s.
 • Under this arrangement, black families would rent tiny plots of land, or shares, and labor themselves in exchange for a percentage of their crop at the end of the year.

Why does Christopher Colliner think New Englanders should be proud of the town hall meeting form of goverment
Pachacha [2.7K]

Christopher Collier thinks New Englanders should be proud of the town hall meeting form of government because it is the clearest example of direct democracy.

Collier was an American author and historian, who believed town hall meetings were the most democratic form of government because it allowed people to express their opinions and beliefs freely. Moreover, it's the closest form of government to the people and many participate in it.

He also believed that people should appreciate and be proud of it because these meetings gave people real power to decide what they wanted, instead of being uninvolved.

Who was the main aggressor during the cold war and why?

I will award you with the brainiest
Dimas [21]
"Aggressor" is a fairly political and loose term. I believe they were both proportionally bad in the situation. However since you are likely looking for an argument for one side, I suppose I would have to go with the USSR. They started the Berlin blockade which both violated treaties and nearly led to a large war. At the time in Russia, if anyone disagreed with their secular agenda or government they would be exiled. I think it's important though to again point out that contrary to popular belief, both sides got into unwanted wars and did aggressive things during the time and neither should be dubbed the only "aggressor"
