How do you find line segments? I'm having trouble with summer homework going into sixth grade AAAAA

Mathematics

line segments are lines that have two distinct endpoints (a dot) •

(see example 2)

finding them on a number line(example 3)

look for two dots

the line between them is the line segment

on a figure(example 1)

end points are always closed so every line on a shape is a line segment

to name them,

use the start and endpoint

with a line above the two letters

(make sure they are capitalized)

go alphabetically

(see example 4)

i hope that helps!

good luck going into 6th grade thats a tough one

tell me if you need anymore help :)

HELP PLEAAASEEE Ireland opened a bag or skittles and recorded the colors and their frequencies.
Anna11 [10]

The correct answer is 25%

What is Relative Frequency?

 • The number of times an event occurs divided by the total number of events occurring in a given data.

How to solve the problem?

 • This problem can be solved by following steps.
 • The data of color and frequency is given in table.
 • We need find the relative frequency for Purple

First calculate the the total number of frequency

18+20+10+16

= 64

The total number of frequency is 64

Hence the relative frequency of purple is 16/64

Therefore , relative frequency of purple is 1/4 = 0.25

Therefore 25% of purple candies are there

Which binomial is a factor of x4 − 4x2 − 4x 8?
Anastasy [175]

The given polynomial is

x^4-4x^2-4x-8

As this is a fourth degree polynomial, we can not directly use any formula, So here we will use hit and trial method

check whether x=-1 is a zero of the polynomial or not

(-1)^4-4(-1)^2-4(-1)-8=-7

Hence x=-1 is not a zero.

Now check whether x=-2 is a zero of the polynomial or not

(-2)^4-4(-2)^2-4(-2)-8=0

Hence x=-2 is a zero of the polynomial.

Hence we can re-write the polynomial as

x^4-4x^2-4x-8=x^4+2x^3-2x^3-4x^2-4x-8\\ \\ =x^3(x+2)-2x^2(x+2)-4(x+2)\\ \\ =(x+2)(x^3-2x^2-4)\\

Hence the required binomial is (x+2)
