The building is 231.7 m far away.Distance can refer to a physical length or an estimate based on other factors in physics or common use.

<h3>What is distance?</h3>

Distance is a numerical representation of the space between two objects or locations. |AB| is a symbol for the distance between two points A and B.

Given data;

Speed of sound  = 331 meters per second

Time = 0.7 sec

The distance from the building is;

d=v×t

d=331 m/sec × 0.7 sec

d=231.7 m

Hence the building is 231.7 m far away.

Winnie can walk 2 miles in 30 minutes. How many miles can she walk in 2 hours? (Remember 1hr = 60 min) A. 2 B. 4 C. 6 D. 8
Sati [7]
The answer is D-8.

If Winnie walks 2 miles in 30 minutes, 30 minutes is half an hour so for 1 hour which is 60 minutes, she can walk 4 miles, 90 minutes she can walk 6 and for 120 minutes which is 2 hours she can walk 8.

So all I did was multiply 2 by 4 and got 8. The number 4 came from the thought that 2 hours have 4 sets of 30 minutes

const2013 [10]

Answer:

x=-18, y=-44

Step-by-step explanation:

y=3x+10\\y=2x-8\\\\3x+10=y\\2x-8=y\\3x-y=-10\\2x-y=8\\\\-2(3x-y=-10)\\3(2x-y=8)\\\\-6x+2y=20\\6x-3y=24\\-y=44\\y=-44\\-44=3x+10\\-54=3x\\x=\frac{-54}{3} \\x=-18\\\\x=-18, y=-44\\

CHECK

-44=3(-18)+10\\-44=-54+10\\-44=-44\\\\-44=2(-18)-8\\-44=-36-8\\-44=-44
