Answer:

15y + 16

Step-by-step explanation:

Fully expanding and simplifying an expression means distributing all values and combining like terms.

Distributing

First, the 5 needs to be distributed to the values within the parentheses. Using the distribution property, the 5 can be multiplied by 3y and 2.

 • (5 * 3y + 5 * 2) + 6

Then, just simplify

 • 15y + 10 + 6

Combine Like Terms

Now that all values are distributed like terms need to be added together.

 • Like terms are defined as terms that have the same variable and power.

The terms 10 and 6 are of the same power and do not have variables. So, they can be added together.

 • 15y + 16

This expression is the most expanded and simplified version.

Hello !

5(3y + 2) + 6

= 5 \times 3y + 5 \times 2 + 6

= 15y + 10 + 6

= 15y + 16

I’m this you should know that it is best to find the area of each triangle then add them together

As you see the base is 24 so you take half of 24 for the base of your triangles and you get 12

1/2 is one half

TRIANGLE A

A = 1/2( Base (times) height)
A = 1/2(12 (times) 35) = 210

The formula will be the exact same for the other triangle.

When adding the areas up you get 420 squared inches.

Therefore answering is 420 in^2

In 10 years, Roman will be 2 times Seth's age. 5 years ago Roman was 3 times Seth's age. HOW OLD IS SETH???
aalyn [17]
Let s be Seth's age. let r be Romans age. 5 years ago Seth was s-5 and Roman was three times as old, or 3(s-5), or 3s-15=r-5

in ten years Seth will be s+10 and Roman will be twice as old, or 2(s+10), or 2s+20=r+10
3s-15 =r-5
r=3s-10

2s+20=r+10
r=2s+10

3s-10=2s+10
s=20

Seth is 20 years old

setting the two equations equal gives us
3(s-5)=2(s+10)
3s-15=2s+20
s=35
