If triangle RST and RZX are similar then the perimeter of triangle RZX is 150 units.

Given triangle RZX and RST are similar and RZ=28, RY=40,ZY=16 and SW=24.

In the similar triangles the ratio of sides are in proportion to the sides of other triangle.

The ratio of ZY to SW is 16:24 meaning it is 2:3. So all the sides of RST are 1.5 times as long as RZX.

RZ=28 so RS=28*1.5=42

RX=40 so RT=40*1.5=60

ZX=ZY+XY and since they are the of the same length , ZX=32 (ZY given)

Then ST=48

Perimeter of a triangle is the sum of sides of the triangle.

Perimeter of RST=RS+ST+RT

=42+60+48

=150

Hence the perimeter of triangle RST is 150 units.

I need to find surface area of a cylinder. Formula being used: S.A= L x W +
Arturiano [62]

Answer:

90π yd²

Step-by-step explanation:

the surface area of a cylinder is the sum of the lateral area and twice the aera of one end of the cylinder:  π·d·l, where l represents the length of the cylinder.  Here, the lateral surface area is π·6 yd·12 yd, or 72π yd².

The two ends add the following to the total surface area:

2·π·(d/2)², or 2π·d²/4.

Thus, the total surface area of the cyl. is

A = 2π·(6 yd)²/4 + 72π yd², or

A = 18π yd² + 72π yd² = 90π yd²

Note:  Please check your source.  L x W +  2pi ·r ^2 is incorrect.

Is (-2,-3) a solution of the graphed system of inequalities?
makkiz [27]
No. A solution is any co ordinated that lies in the blank space on the graph. (-2,-3) is in the blue shades section so it is not a solution.
