Read the following poem by Paul Laurence Dunbar and answer the question that follows.
emmasim [6.3K]

Answer: 2. He uses dialect to better connect the message to the intended audience.

Explanation: I want to say that it is answer 2.)!

This is a very emotional poem that I had to analyze last semester, the message of the poem is very important to the author and poem itself. Dialect is generally a kind of language that people speak in a certain region or part of the country. The word "Alas!" in the first line can be dialect, it is helping to add to the message of the poem, and simply helps express sorrow.

Anyways, I hope this helps!

in at least 200 words discuss how nadine gordimer's political beliefs are reflected in this story. what literary devices does sh
BaLLatris [955]

Answer: Gordimer´s political beliefs are reflected in this story in a way that she puts her view with the device os negatie dialects. For example: “art is the negative knowledge of the actual world” (“Reconciliation Under Duress” ). Rather, art explores what is not known and as Adorno explains, “art does not become knowledge with reference to mere immediate reality” . Throughout her novels, Gordimer avoids references to the “immediate reality.” As Ettin explains, we never get a full picture of the plot and instead the reader must orient himself by considering what has not been said. As Gordimer draws on the theories of Adorno, she portrays the strong appeal of this German, Jewish theorist, further distancing herself from the genre of black authors and redefining the objective of a political novel.

Okay, this is a song from the perspective of God.

The books you think I wrote are way too thick.

Who needs a thousand metaphors to figure out you shouldn’t be a DlCK?

And I don’t watch you when you sleep.

Surprisingly, I don’t use my omnipotence to be a ducking creep.

You’re not going to heaven.

Why the duck would you think I'd ever kick it with you?

None of you are going to heaven.

There’s a trillion aliens cooler than you.

You shouldn’t abstain from r a p e just because you think that I want you to.

You shouldn’t r a p e because r a p e is a ducked up thing to do.

Pretty obvious, just don’t duckin r a p e people, didn’t think I had to write that one down for you.

I don’t think m a s t u r b a t i o n is obscene.

It's absolutely natural and the weirdest ducking thing I’ve ever seen.

You make my job a living he||.

I sent gays to fix overpopulation and boy did that go well.

You’re not going to heaven.
