Signs of increased intracranial pressure (ICP)  that should be given the highest priority for a child with clinical findings related to meningitis.

Meningitis :

Meningitis is a potentially fatal condition brought on by inflammation and infection of the meninges. Bacteria, viruses, fungi, or other uncommon species like amoebas and parasites can all contribute to an infection.

Children who have bacterial meningitis can rapidly deteriorate into serious illness. One in five infected children has lifelong problems including cerebral palsy or deafness, and meningitis can occasionally be fatal.

The purpose of a nursing assessment is to outline the nursing care for a baby, child, or young person with suspected or confirmed meningitis.

Increased intracranial pressure (ICP) can develop acutely or over time. This clinical issue frequently arises in neurology or neurosurgery units. Traumatic brain injury is just one example of a condition or injury that might impair cerebral autoregulation and raise ICP.

If a patient is suspected of having increased ICP, immediate interventions should be given like  securing the airway, maintaining adequate oxygenation and ventilation, and providing circulatory support if required.

a novel 2-week wait lung cancer pathway starting with a telephone consultation, with patient satisfaction survey results.
ivanzaharov [21]

A novel 2-week wait lung cancer pathway starting with a telephone consultation, with patient satisfaction survey results from the first 111 patients showed high satisfaction of about 93% of the telephonic consultation.

The survey was performed in May 2018 in a collaboration with local general practitioners (GP). GP first examined computed tomography (CT) of the chest or abdomen and blood tests simultaneously. The patients were provided telephonic appointments with respiratory consultants.

After taking the history of the patient and results from CT and blood tests, the patients were examined further. If the patient was found fine after a lung cancer diagnosis, he stood reassured and discharged.

The patients with some comorbidities were then sent for a face-to-face consultation and further examine the fitness level.

A child with diabetes insipidus will be receiving injectable vasopressin when discharged from the hospital. What is the most imp
melisa1 [442]

The primary step is to train the health care professionals about the injection techniques and to determine if the child is of the appropriate age to receive the injection.

Good injection practice deals with selecting the appropriate site for administration. The route of administration of injection is mostly intramuscular in a child. The drug is delivered to the vascular muscle tissue and is rapidly absorbed into the circulation of the child. Diabetes insipidus is a disorder that leads to imbalanced fluid in the body. This causes frequent urination, a condition referred to as polyuria. Vasopressin is the anti-diuretic hormone, the lack of which causes diabetes insipidus. Administration of vasopressin externally helps the kidneys to retain water and prevent dehydration.
