A sample of 50 11th graders were asked to select a favorite pattern out of 6 choices. The data list below shows what their favor

ite color patterns were, and the accompanying frequency table and bar graph represent these data. In the bar graph, the height of the blue-gray bar is 4, the height of the green bar is 9, and so on.
Suppose that, rather than being just a bar graph, the display you see above is a relative frequency bar graph. The vertical axis of the graph will be marked off in percentages, from 0 percent up to 30 percent. What will be the height of the green bar?

A.
15

B.
25

C.
9

D.

Answer:

D 18

Step-by-step explanation:

100% = 50 (all students)

1% = 100%/100 = 50/100 = 1/2 = 0.5

we get any percentage for any number by dividing the number by 1% (0.5) to see how often it fits in.

there are 9 votes for green.

9/ 0.5 = 18%

Lin has 13 coins in her pocket that equal 40 cents. All the coins are dimes, d, and pennies, p. Which combination of coins does
Luden [163]
To answer this question you should begin with the coin that has a higher value.  If you start with the dime and then just add the correct number of pennies to total $0.40, you will see that you will need 3 dimes ($0.30) and 10 pennies ($0.10).

I used a guess and check strategy starting with 2 dimes.

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

(a)

The angle around the centre O of the circle = 360°, then

∠ AOB = 360° - 260° = 100°

Δ AOB is isosceles ( the radii OA and OB are congruent )

The altitude from O bisects ∠ AOB , thus

y = 50°

Since the triangle is isosceles the 2 base angles are congruent, so

x = \frac{180-100}{2} = \frac{80}{2} = 40°

(b)

∠ POR = 360° - 254° = 106°

Δ POR is isosceles (the radii OP and OR are congruent ) , then

the 2 base angles are congruent , thus

a = \frac{180-106}{2} = \frac{74}{2} = 37°

Add 2 to each x coordinate because it is moving to the right. For example. For (2,1), add 2 to the x coordinate (2). 2+2=4, so the prime point would be (4,1).
