Write the logical Expression and Draw the Truth table for the following questions

Computers and Technology

The logical expressions are

  • (X NOR Y ) OR Z ⇒ (\bar X  \bar + \bar Y) + Z
  • (A NAND B) AND NOT C ⇒ (\bar A \bar \cdot\bar B) \cdot \bar C

<h3>How to determine the logical expressions?</h3>

<u>Logical expression 1</u>

X and Y are linked by the NOR gate.

So, we have:

X NOR Y

The X NOR Y is linked to Z by the OR gate.

So, we have:

(X NOR Y) OR Z

Hence, the logical expression is (X NOR Y ) OR Z ⇒ (\bar X  \bar + \bar Y) + Z

<u>Logical expression 2</u>

A and B are linked by the NAND gate.

So, we have:

A NAND B

The A NAND B is linked to C by the AND gate.

So, we have:

(A NAND B) AND C

Hence, the logical expression is (A NAND B) AND NOT C ⇒ (\bar A \bar \cdot\bar B) \cdot \bar C

Nezavi [6.7K]

Answer:

The answer to this question can be given by program that  are as follows

import java.util.*;

//import package for taking input from user.

public class Main   //define class

{

public static void main (String ag[] )   //define main function

{

 int number;

 Scanner input = new Scanner(System.in);

 for (int i = 0; i < 5; i ++)                       //loo for input.

 {

  System.out.print ("Enter a number between 1 - 30:  ");

  number = input.nextInt();          //input number by the user.

 }

 asterisk();           //calling function.

 }

public static void asterisk()          //defination of function.

{

    //body of function.

    int n;                   //local variable.

 for (n= 0; n <= 30; n++)                  //using loop for print asterisk

 {

 if (n !=0)

 //printf used for print value.

 System.out.printf("*", n );                  //print value.

 }

  for (n= 0; n <= 30; n++)         //using loop for print asterisk

  {

 if (n !=0)

 //printf used for print value.

 System.out.printf("*", n );     //print value.

 }

  for (n= 0; n <= 30; n++)          //using loop for print asterisk

  {

 if (n !=0)

 //printf used for print value.

 System.out.printf("*", n );          //print value.

 }

  for (n= 0; n <= 30; n++)            //using loop for print asterisk

 {

 if (n !=0)

 //printf used for print value.

 System.out.printf("*", n );               //print value.

 }

  for (n= 0; n <= 30; n++)             //using loop for print asterisk

  {

 if (n !=0)

 //printf used for print value.

 System.out.printf("*", n );             //print value.

 }

}

}

Output:

Enter a number between 1 - 30: 2

Enter a number between 1 - 30: 2

Enter a number between 1 - 30: 1

Enter a number between 1 - 30: 3

Enter a number between 1 - 30: 4

Explanation:

In this program we take 5 time input from the user and print the value in the form of (*) that can be explain in above output section.In that program we use printf method that is also used for print the value.

Write three statements to print the first three elements of array runTimes. Follow each statement with a newline. Ex: If runTime
Lady_Fox [76]

Answer:

Following are the program in c language

#include <stdio.h> // header file

int main() // main function

{

  int runTimes[5]={800,775,790,805,808}; // declared the array

  for (int k = 0; k < 3; k++) // itearting the loop

  {

     printf("\n%d",runTimes[k]); // display array

  }

  return 0;

}

Output:

800

775

790

Explanation:

Following are the description of program

  • Declared a array "runTimes[5]" as the" int " type and store the five integer value in it .
  • After that iterating the for loop from the 0 index to the less then 3 index .
  • Inside the for loop we print the corresponding value that are stored in the particular index in the nextline .
