They are resources that are consumed at a much faster rate than they can be naturally replaced, if at all.

Nonrenewable resources are different from renewable resources. The latter can be replenished at a much faster pace than they are consumed.

An example of nonrenewable resources is fossil fuels while that of renewable resource is geothermal energy.

Thus, location A burning fossil fuels uses more nonrenewable resources than location B which uses geothermal energy.
