A White college student goes door to door in a predominantly White neighborhood gathering signatures for a ballot initiative without incident. The next day, an African-American city councilwoman canvasses for votes in the same neighborhood, and three residents call the police to report having seen a suspicious-looking woman. In this example, the college student is benefiting from White privilege.

What is Privilege ?

Privilege exists when one group has something has value that is absent in others life, simply because they don't belong to a certain group. Their was a long period when white man privileged more than black man.

Example: A white male with a criminal record, is 10% more likely to get a job over a man of black with clean record.

Somehow, privileges creates discrimination like, Barack Obama is routinely identified as a 'black President' and not just ‘the President'. And, a white politician says 'i have the privilege of having a positive relationship with the police' generally.

What is White privilege?

White privilege, or white skin privilege, is the societal privilege that benefits white people over non-white people in some societies, particularly if they are otherwise under the same social, political, or economic circumstances. With roots in European colonialism and imperialism, and the Atlantic slave trade, white privilege has developed in circumstances that have broadly sought to protect white racial privileges, various national citizenships, and other rights or special benefits.

D is the correct answer

As explanation: A Supreme Court justice is appointed for life. This means that their rulings are not bound to traditional elected politics in the way that elected judges are responsible to voters. Judges agree to the doctrine of stare decisis, which refers to letting the decision stand or following precedent. This enables a smooth continuity when it comes to American law and ensures that modern law is based on small clarifications instead of wild and unpredictable shifts.

What is the current legal status of the idea expressed in this excerpt? "No State shall make any law respecting an establishment
Nataly [62]

Answer:

C. Individual States choose whether to follow this principle by adopting amendments to their own State constitutions.

Explanation:

Freedom of religion, as well as the separation of church and state, are legal principles that are considered basic to U.S. law. In this passage, we learn about these ideas, as we learn that state actions should be free of religious implications. Although the spirit of this law is meant to be respected in the country, individual states can chose whether to follow this specific principle, and whether to do so by adopting amendments to their own State constitutions.
