The amount in pounds of Type A coffee used is 36 pounds.

<h3>Using equation to find the number of pounds?</h3>

Type A coffee costs Susan $5.45 per pound, and type B coffee

costs $4.05 per pound.

Therefore,

Let x = the number of pounds of Type A coffee.

total pounds = x + 3x

total cost = 5.45(x) + 3x(4.05)

633.60 =  5.45(x) + 3x(4.05)

633.60 =   5.45x + 12.15x

633.60 = 17.6x

divide both sides by 17.6

x = 633.60 / 17.6

x = 36

Pounds of Type A coffee used = 36 pounds

Find the indicated partial derivative. Z = u v − w ; ∂3z ∂u ∂v ∂w.
insens350 [35]

The indicated partial derivative of z is; 1.

<h3>Partial derivatives</h3>

According to the question:

  • We are required to determine the partial derivative of the variable z.

The given value of z is; Z = u, v, −w

Hence, it follows that;

  • Z = u + v -w

d³z = ∂/∂u(u) + ∂/∂v(v) - ∂/∂w(w)

Ultimately, the value of ∂³z is; 1.

Answer:

Solution (1.8,1.61)

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us do it one by one.

Graph 1 :

y=-3x+7

Let us find some random coordinates to graph this equation

x = 0 ; y = -3(0)+7 = 7

(0,7)

x=1 ; y=-3(1) + 7 = -3+7=4

(1,4)

Plotting these coordinates on graph , and joining them will give us the line on the graph.

Graph 2 :

y = Sqrt ( 2x-1)

let us find random cordinates for some values of x

x=1, y = sqrt (2(1)-1) = sqrt (1) = 1

(1,1)

x=0.5 , y = sqrt (2(0.5)-1) = sqrt (0) = 0

(0.5,0)

Hence we have two coordinates , now we also see that , after comparing it from standard form of an square root function,

the square root function is upper half of parabola opening towards right and the point of origin is (0.5,0)

Let us find the solution , for that we need to put y=-3x+7 in y=sqrt (2x-1)

and we get

-3x+7=sqrt (2x-1)

squaring on both sides we get

9x^2+49-42x=2x-1

9x^2-44x+50=0

solving it with quadratic formula

x=[-b+sqrt(b^2-4ac)]/2a

we get x  = 1.8 and replacing it in first equation we get y = 1.61

Hence the solution will be (1.8,1.61)

William bought a new sweater at the store when they were having a 45%, off sale. if the regular price of the sweater was $19, ho
Lyrx [107]
Firstly, to calculate a price you need to change the percentage into a decimal. You do this by dividing it by 100.

45 / 100 = 0.45,
The discount price will be 55% of the original price,
55 / 100 = 0.55,
19 * 0.55 = 10.45,

So the discound price will be $10.45

Hope this helps!
