Decompose the rectangle along the diagonal and recompose the two pieces to make a different shape, then five different ways are shown.

Further explanation

Area is the number of squares inside a two-dimensional shape.

Here are two important principles for finding area:

 • If two figures can be placed one on top of the other, then they have the same area so that they match up exactly.
 • We can decompose a figure (break a figure into pieces) and rearrange the pieces (move the pieces around) to find its area.

A rectangle has two diagonals. Each one is a line segment drawn between the opposite vertices (corners) of the rectangle. For rectangle, shapes can be decomposed and rearranged back to rectangles to find the area. When decomposing and rearranging shapes the area of the polygon does not change.

The rectangle is shown in the picture below. After decompose the rectangle along the diagonal, we can varied the pieces to make various different shape. Picture below also shown the five different ways pieces from the rectangle.

Make a ten or hundred to add mentally 198+132
Veseljchak [2.6K]
2000. Because if you add the 2 it will make 1200, 2+8 is 10 so you carry the 1, and 3+9 is 12 then you add the 1 you got from 10 and you have 13. then you add 1+1 and get 2 and add the 1 you got from 13 so there you have it.

Which of these numbers has the smallest value? Nine tenths, twenty hundredths, two hundredths, or forty five thousandths
victus00 [196]
Nine tenths = 0.9
Twenty hundredths is 0.2
Two hundredths is 0.02
Forty five thousandths is 0.045

The number with the smallest value is 0.02, or two hundredths.

The inequality that correctly compares thirty five and thirty seven hundredths (35.37) to thirty five and ninety four thousandths (35.094) is B. 35.37 > 35.094, because 35.37 is greater than 35.094.

25 - [2 x (18÷ 6) + 1]
25 - [2 x (3) + 1]
25 - [6 + 1]
25 - [7]
18
25 - [2 x (18 ÷ 6) + 1] = 18

I need help please
find b
dybincka [34]

Answer:

12

Step-by-step explanation:

This triangle is a 3-4-5 Pythagorean Triple. 9 is 3*3, 15 is 5*3, so b is 4*3, which is 12. Alternatively, you could use the Pythagorean Theorem's converse, sqrt(15^2-9^2), and get 12.
