Answer:

D) all real numbers greater than zero

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of the rectangle must be greater than zero. Because an area equal to zero or a negative area wouldn't make any sense. So let's write the inequalities in order to find the correct domain:

f(x)=x(3x+5)>0

Split in two equations:

x>0\hspace{32}(1)\\\\3x+5>0\hspace{10}(2)

From (1) we can determine directly that 5 must be greater than zero.

Now, for equation (2):

3x+5>0\\\\3x>-5\\\\x>-\frac{5}{3}

So, x can also take negative values less than -5/3, for example, let's evaluate the area for x=-2:

f(-2)=-2(3(-2)+5)=-2(-6+5)=-2(-1)=2

This would make sense for the area, however it wouldn't make sense for the side measurements. Never heard about of -10 ft for example.

Therefore the  domain of the function which make sense in this case is all real numbers greater than zero.

F(x)=x(3x+5)
or
f(x)=3x²+5x
Here the domain in general is: -∞<x<∞
But the length of the rectangle cannot be negative, therefore the domain is all real numbers greater than zero.

Option D is correct.

First answer = brainliest
mamaluj [8]

Answer:

2916 ft^3

Step-by-step explanation:

In this case, the diameter if 18 ft, making the radius 9 feet. Now, we plug in the values into the formula and simplify.

  • \frac{4}{3}* 3 * 9^3
  • \frac{4}{3} * 3 * 729
  • 4 * 729
  • 2916

Therefore, the volume is 2916 ft^3.

Find the area of the shaded figure.
olasank [31]

Answer:

8500 ft²

Step-by-step explanation:

First we need to find the area of the non shaded region within this shaded region. To find the area of this non shaded rectangle, use the formula base×height.

20×100=2000 ft².

Now we need to find the height and width of the shaded region which is,

25+25+20=70 Height

25+25+100=150 Width

mutiply these numbers 150×70=10500 ft²

Now we just need to subtract that inside area.

10500-2000=8500 ft²

Can some0ne help me?
PtichkaEL [24]

Answer:

(x - 2)/3

(x - 4)/-5 or (-x + 4)/5

Step-by-step explanation:

this is an inverse function, and to solve an inverse function you would :

swap x and g(x) without bringing the x coefficient with it, just simply swap the variables. Then, solve for g(x), and that's it

the first question's answer is :

g(x) = 3x + 2

x = 3(g(x)) + 2

x - 2 = 3(g(x))

(x - 2)/3 = g(x)

the second one is:

g(x) = 4 - 5x

x = 4 - 5(g(x))

x - 4 = -5(g(x))

(x-4)/-5 = g(x)
