A politician who appeals to and often deceives the masses by manipulating their emotions and prejudices is demagogue .

Demagogue

The word demagogue , originally meaning a leader of the common people, was first coined in ancient Greece with no negative connotation, but eventually came to mean a troublesome kind of leader who occasionally arose in Athenian democracy.[9][10] Even though democracy gave power to the common people, elections still tended to favor the aristocratic class, which favored deliberation and decorum. Demagogues were a new kind of leader who emerged from the lower classes. Demagogue relentlessly advocated action, usually violent—immediately and without deliberation. Demagogue appealed directly to the emotions of the poor and uninformed, pursuing power, telling lies to stir up hysteria, exploiting crises to intensify popular support for their calls to immediate action and increased authority, and accusing moderate opponents of weakness or disloyalty to the nation.

They present themselves as a man or woman of the common people, opposed to the elites.

Their politics depends on a visceral connection with the people, which greatly exceeds ordinary political popularity.

They manipulate this connection, and the raging popularity it affords, for their own benefit and ambition.

They threaten or outright break established rules of conduct, institutions, and even the law.

Researchers exploring the concept of biological preparedness have not been able to consistently find that fear is acquired faste
saveliy_v [14]

Answer:

Replicability

Explanation:

In the principles of scientific thinking, applicability refers to whether we can recreate a certain same of study with same measurement. The purpose of this is so other researchers could repeat the same experiment and confirm whether the result of the previous works are actually correct.

In the case above, the researchers want to find out if fear is acquired faster to a prepared stimulus.

This will create a problem in term of applicability because the source of fear that exist in people extremely varies from one to another. It also constantly changed over the course of time. Because of this, it is impossible for other researchers to recreate the experiment in a similar situation. The result from using different subjects will be invalid and cant be used to confirm the previous experiments.

Stels [109]

Answer:

b. zero if either expectation to succeed or the perceived value of a goal is zero.

Explanation:

Expectancy x value theory also known as expectancy-value model of expectation asserts that the relationship between value and expectation is multiplicative, that is, if the value and individual puts on a task is zero, that individual will not feel motivated to achieve that task. Conversely, if the value is high but expectation to completing the task is zero, the individual will also not be motivated to complete the task.
