if you knew a particular amino acid sequence, could you figure out the DNA for that sequence? Why or why not?

<span>If you were given the AMINO ACID sequence, you could come up with a working DNA sequence, but even though this sequence may still make the same protein, it may not be the same DNA sequence that the original protein was coded from. This is due to the fact that there 64 different combinations for the four bases in DNA (A, T, C, & G), but only 20 amino acids to code for, therefore there's going to be overlap and there will be different codons that code for each amino acid </span>

I believe this is done to ensure accuracy.  DNA paternity testing involves the use of DNA profiling to determine whether two individuals are biologically parent and a child. The test establishes genetic proof whether a man is the biological father of the individual in question. There is need for use of more than one loci probes to make sure there is no error and that the results are 100% accurate.
