One scenario that demonstrates the importance of the first tenet is when the consumer shares with the interpreter private or delicate information.

What is the first tenet about?

The first tenet of the Code of Professional Conduct for ASL interpreters states interpreters should follow standars of confidential information.

In which scenario is this tenet important?

This tenet is important when the user shares private information with his/her interpreter as it is expected the interpreter does not share this information.

One example of this is when the doctor shares the diagnosis of a deaf patient, as it is expected this information is only communicated to the deaf patient or those who professionally required it. But the interpreter cannot share this information with his/her friends, family, etc.

In a free-enterprise system, producers decide how much to charge. which services to buy. where to shop for goods. which goods in
Phantasy [73]

Answer:

A. how much to charge.

Explanation:

A free-enterprise system also referred to as capitalism or free market can be defined as a type of economy in which prices, products and services are being determined by the market rather than the government. Thus, a free-enterprise system is devoid (free) of government regulations, interference or control because the market (enterprises) are the ones who are saddled with the responsibility of determining the market forces.

Simply stated, a free-enterprise system is a type of economy that is completely driven by demand and supply of goods and services.

Some of the characteristics of a free-enterprise system are;

 • Citizens have rights to the ownership and use of private property.
 • The consumers are free to make their economic choices or decisions such as deciding on which product to buy, which goods interest them, where to shop for goods, etc.
 • The producers are free to make their economic choices or decisions such as deciding on how much is to be charged on a product.

Hence, in a free-enterprise system, producers decide how much to charge.

Skinner claimed that the nativist theory accurately explains the process of language development.
antiseptic1488 [7]

Answer:

False

Explanation:

Burrhus Frederic Skinner was an American psychologist who belonged to the behaviorist school of thought. Behaviorists believe that languages are learned through reinforcement and imitation. Children imitate the language and the way people around them speak and receive reinforcement when they correctly say a word. According to behaviorist theories, this leads to the memorization of new words.

The nativist theories claim the opposite. According to nativists, such as Noam Chomsky, who developed the concept of the language acquisition device (LAD), children have an inherent predisposition for language acquisition. LAD is an explanation of how children learn languages so fast and with such ease, especially compared to adults. Nativists do not believe that language is learned because of reinforcement.
