(x - 5)-2 = 14

-2x + 10 = 14

-2x = 14 - 10

-2x = 4

x = 4/-2

4x - 5 = -8

(x + 3) / 5 = -2

x + 3 = -2(5)

x + 3 = -10

x = -10 - 3

x = -13

1/2x + 4 = -1

1/2x = -1 - 4

1/2x = -5

x + 2 = 6/-4

-4(x + 2) = 6
