The sperm will be immature and sperm count will be lower if the bulbourethral gland in males fails to perform its function

The bulbourethral gland or Cowper's gland, which is homologous to the Bartholin's gland in females, produces pre-ejaculate that cleanses and lubricates the urethra prior to the arrival of the semen.

The Cowper's glands or bulbourethral glands produce the first fluid that leaves the urethra in order to neutralize the acid left from the urine. The sperm like a basic or alkaline environment in order to survive. If the function of the Cowper's glands or bulbourethral glands fails to perform its function then the sperm will not get a proper medium to travel and will get diminished in the urethra and the sperm count will get reduced.

pshichka [43]

Answer:

The condition is called "Spinal Bifida", caused by lack of vitamin B12 which helps regenerate the active form of folate.

Explanation:

Because Lori is a vegan, her vitamin B12 intake which comes from animal products such as meat, is not enough. She has to take supplements to make up for the lack of it in her diet.

As stated in the question, this lack of vitamin B12 causes her child to have a defect in his spinal cord called Spinal Bifida that defines a spinal cord or spine that has not fully developed. The vitamin B12 is necessary for regenerating the active form of folate.

Which would most affect the health of fish in a local pond?
QveST [7]

D. The daily release of hot water into the pond from a local factory.

Explanation:

The daily release of hot water into the pond from a local factory would most likely affect the health of fish in a local pond.

Fishes are cold blooded animals. They derive their temperature from the water around them. They need a fairly stable daily temperature.

If the temperature of the water varies to a large extent too much daily, they will suffer.

Hot water will affect the fish population badly. It will cause the fishes to die off and suffer from too much increase in temperature.

Other factors listed in the options will improve the fish life.
