A <em>parallelogram</em> is a <u>quadrilateral</u> in which opposite <u>sides</u> are <em>equal</em>, and the opposite <em>angles</em> sum up 180^{o}. Thus, the <em>measures</em> of the <u>two</u> different <em>angles</em> in the question are 70° and 110° i.e option D.

A <em>parallelogram</em> is a <u>quadrilateral</u> in which opposite <u>sides</u> are <em>equal</em>, and the opposite <em>angles</em> sum up 180^{o}. It has four straight <u>sides</u> and can be classified as a <u>quadrilateral</u>.

Thus from the given question, we have:

(6n − 70)° + (2n + 10)° =  180^{o}

8n - 60 =  180^{o}

8n =  180^{o} + 60

8n = 240

n = \frac{240}{8}

  = 30^{o}

n = 30^{o}

So that,

i. (6n − 70)° = (6[30] − 70)°

                = 180 - 70

                = 110^{o}

ii. (2n + 10)° = (2[30] + 10)°

                  = 60 + 10

                  = 70^{o}

Therefore, the <em>measures</em> of the two different <u>angles</u> are 70° and 110°. Option D.

A store uses the expression –2p + 50 to model the number of backpacks it sells per day, where the price, p, can be anywhere from
Rus_ich [418]
Revenue = price * number of backpacks
number of backpacks = -2p + 50

p = 9 ; -2(9) + 50 = -18 + 50 = 32
revenue = 9 * 32 = 288

p = 12 ; -2(12) + 50 = -24 + 50 = 26
revenue = 12 * 26 = 312

<u>p = 12.50 ; -2(12.50) + 50 = -25 + 50 = 25</u>
<u>revenue = 12.50 * 25 = 312.50</u>   GIVES THE MAXIMUM REVENUE

p = 15 ; -2(15) + 50 = -30 + 50 = 20
revenue = 15 * 20 = 300

Graph the system of equations: <br> y=-x^2+3x-1<br> 2y-1=x
Nana76 [90]
Y = -x² + 3x - 1
x = 2y - 1

  x = 2(-x² + 3x - 1) - 1
  x = 2(-x²) + 2(3x) + 2(-1) - 1
  x = -2x² + 6x - 2 - 1
  x = -2x² + 6x - 3
<u>- x              - x      </u>
  0 = -2x² + 5x - 3
  x = <u>-(5) +/- √((5)² - 4(-2)(-3))</u>
                        2(-2)
  x = <u>-5 +/- √(25 - 24)</u>
                   -4
  x = <u>-5 +/- √(1)
</u>              -4
  x = <u>-5 +/- 1</u>
             -4
  x = <u>-5 + 1</u>   or  x = <u>-5 - 1</u>
           -4                    -4
  x = <u>-4</u>              x = <u>-6</u>
        -4                    -4
  x = 1               x = 1.5

2y - 1 = x
2y - 1 = 1
<u>   + 1  + 1</u>
     <u>2y</u> = <u>2</u>
      2     2
       y = 1
 (x, y) = (1, 1)
or
2y - 1 = x
2y - 1 = 1.5
<u>    + 1 + 1    </u>
     <u>2y</u> = <u>2.5</u>
      2      2
       y = 1.25
 (x, y) = (1.5, 1.25)
The two solutions is equal to (1, 1) and (1.5, 1.25).
