It is very reasonable for the nurse to believe that this individual taking clopidogrel, has a background of coronary artery disease.

What is the function of the clopidogrel drug?

 • It is an antiplatelet drug. It stops platelets, a kind of blood cell, from congregating and creating a potentially harmful blood clot.
 • If one has a higher risk of developing blood clots, using clopidogrel can help.
 • Clopidogrel has been shown to reduce the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and vascular mortality in people with atherosclerosis and in those who have had coronary stents implanted.
 • ITP, CVA, and hemophilia are not suggested conditions to be treated with it.

When not to use clopidogrel?

For some folks, clopidogrel is not a good choice. In order to ensure that this medication is safe for you, let your doctor know if you:

 1. possess an ulcer in the stomach or have had ulcers in the past
 2. have experienced brain bleeding (a brain hemorrhage)
 3. having a bleeding condition, such as hemophilia

Varvara68 [4.7K]

During external chest compression on children under 8 years old the sternum should be compressed about 1/3 to 1/2 the depth of the chest.

What is the correct chest compression for a child?

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation is known as CPR. When a child's respiration or heartbeat stops, it is a life-saving surgery.

Compress the breastbone. For a baby or infant, press down 4 or 5 cm, or around one-third of the chest's diameter. At a rate of around 100–120 compressions per minute, quickly release the pressure before repeating. When we've completed 30 compressions, tilt the head, elevate the chin, and take two deep breaths. For adults, compress the chest to a depth of at least 2 inches. Allow the chest to fully rise each time. These compressions must be swift, forceful, and uninterrupted.

Describe and explain one presynaptic and one postsynaptic mechanism
valentina_108 [34]

Explanation:

 • Presynaptic mechanism: one way to modify the synaptic transmission before it happens is affecting transmitters release, one example is calcium channel blockers (for example, verapamil), this action won't allow transmitters out, therefore, there won't be a synaptic transmission.
 • Postsynaptic mechanism: one method to modify synaptic transmission after it happens is blocking the transmitter receptors, one example of this is antipsychotic drugs that block dopamine receptors.

I added some images with another examples for both cases. I hope you find this information interesting! Good luck!
