In what two ways do the geographical features of new orleans contribute to flooding?

History

Gemiola [76]2 years ago

When it comes to storm surges, New Orleans is more at risk than most other cities. There are primarily two causes for this. The first cause is New Orleans' low height above sea level; the second is the absence of wetlands and barrier islands, which are nature's finest barriers to storm surges.

What is Washington’s position on American slavery
miss Akunina [59]

Answer:

Throughout the 1780s and 1790s, Washington stated privately that he no longer wanted to be a slaveowner, that he did not want to buy and sell slaves or separate enslaved families, and that he supported a plan for gradual abolition in the United States. Yet, Washington did not always act on his antislavery principles.
