Simple Random sampling

Meaning:

Simple random sampling is a type of probability sampling in which the researcher randomly selects a subset of participants from a population. Each member of the population has an equal chance of being selected.

For example, if you randomly select 1000 people from a town with a population of 100,000 residents, each person has a 1000/100000 = 0.01 probability. That's a simple calculation requiring no additional knowledge about the population's composition. Hence, simple random sampling.

Advantage:

Simple random sample advantages include ease of use and accuracy of representation. No easier method exists to extract a research sample from a larger population than simple random sampling.

Chen's pocket holds 10 coins: 3 quarters, 4 dimes, 1 nickle, and 2 pennies. What are the chances that he first randomly pulls ou
Aneli [31]
All the outcomes are 10 (possibilities)

To pull a quarter (total 3), its probability = 3/10 or 0.3

Now without putting the quarter back, the remaining total is now 9 (because one quarter was pulled out) so the probability of getting a penny is 2/9

But this is a conditional probability a) 1st pull a quarter & 2nd pull a penny

So the total probability is 3/10 x 2/9 =6/90 = 1/15 = 0.067

Help me find the answer to this area of a kite problem
julia-pushkina [17]

Answer:

Below in bold.

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of a kite = 1/2 * D1 * D2   were D1 and D2 are the 2 diagonals

D1  = 5 + 2.5 = 7.5 and D2 = 2*44444.5 = 9

So area = 1/2 * 7.5 * 9

= 33.75.
