Answer:

A. Puzzles are a lot of fun. They require patience and strategy; one strategy is to start with the edge pieces and then group pieces by color.

Explanation:

A properly breaks up the first two parts of the run on phrase. B and C do not, inserting a comma but the two independent clauses without anything to join them. D has an unnecessary comma after the first word, and a run-on sentence after the semicolon.

Rom4ik [11]

Answer:

Captain Nemo, probably the most famous character created by the godfather of science fiction, 19th-century French writer Jules Verne, was a broken genius driven to acts of evil by the desire for revenge. He was the better known as the submarine maker. His mysterious and enigmatic style - equal parts hard and vengeful and calm and feeling - leads readers to never quite understand who he is or what he's about.

He was tall and bold and has wide-set eyes. His sharp fetures with a well defined long nose made it hard for author to tell his age, whether he was 30 or 50.

Unlike other famous fictitious characters, he's a villain

Answer:

Check to see if it provides references and statistics.

Explanation:

A friend won't definitely know if the information is factual, so that possibility is ruled out. If other sources don't provide the same information, you can't really be sure as to which source is wrong and if readers' can edit information, you aren't exactly sure what they will input. Therefore, the answer is the second option Check to see if it provides references and statistics.

I was just learning to drive a bicycle; I was in 4th grade then. I just borrowed the bike from my classmate; and so, I had limited time. When I found out that I could already balance myself, I pedaled with excitement ignoring the downhill slope. I pressed the brake but it did not stop. I was already in panic and I did not know what to do. So, I jumped off the bike and fell on some rocky dirt. Amazingly, the bike was not damaged. I had buises on my arms and legs but I did not cry. Nobody saw me and I felt so proud of myself. Since then, I became more confident; the way I look at life has changed. Through this experience, I have learned that I can take care of myself and I should be more careful. I have to be accountable for everything I do.
