Explanation:

Aesop was an ancient Greek fabulist, or writer/teller of fables. Fables are very short stories, often only one paragraph long, that are designed to teach a moral, or lesson, about how to live a good life to the reader or listener. Fables typically feature animals or inanimate objects as characters, although the characters are anthropomorphized, or given human qualities, such as the ability to speak. Aesop lived around 600 B.C.E., and was a slave. It is not clear whether Aesop was a real, individual person, and he never wrote his fables down himself; he was an oral storyteller instead. However, over the centuries, other people wrote down collections of fables attributed to Aesop, and these fables remain some of the most well-known and celebrated today. Aesop was the author of ''The Ant and the Grasshopper'' fable, as well as other famous fables, such as ''The Tortoise and the Hare'' and ''The Wolf in Sheep's Clothing.'' Aesop's fables often include a clearly spelled out moral at the end, stating in no uncertain terms what the educational point of the story was. However, this is not always included, and sometimes readers are left to interpret the moral for themselves. The moral of fables is typically not too difficult to decipher, though, since the main point of these stories is to convey a moral.

The king holiday: a day to ...
andriy [413]
A day to celebrate the life and dream of Martin Luther King, Jr.

A day to reaffirm the American ideals of freedom, justice, and opportunity for all

A day to love not hate, for understanding not anger, for peace not war.
A day for family, to share together, to reach out to relatives and friends, and to mend broken relationships.

A day when community rids itself of the barriers that divide it and comes together as one.

A day when people of all races, religions, classes, and stations in life put aside their differences and join in a spirit of togetherness.

A day for our Nation to pay tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr., who awakened in us the best qualities of the American spirit.

A day for nations of the world to cease all violent actions, seek nonviolent solutions, and demonstrate that peace is not just a dream but a real possibility, if only for one day.

If for only one day, each of us serves as a "drum major for justice and peace," then we bring to life the inspiring vision of freedom of which Martin Luther King, Jr., dreamed.

What evidence from the passage best supports the inference that Alvarez’s little sister Ana may have found it less difficult to
PtichkaEL [24]

Answer:

C). "Later, during her college years in the late sixties, there was a push to pronounce Third World names correctly"

Explanation:

The sentence 'Later...correctly' most aptly provides the evidence to support the conclusion that Ana, the little sister of Alvarez, did not find it much difficult to unify her two distinct identities(Dominican and American). It shows her advancement in pronouncing the names of the Third World in American English appropriately which justifies that she did not struggle with integrating her two distinct cultural backgrounds and belongings. Ana rather integrated the two very quickly and successfully throughout her college years. Thus, option C is the correct answer.
