If three different orders are selected, find the probability that they are all from Restaurant B is; 0.026

How to find the probability?

Total orders both accurate and not accurate = 1131

Total orders from restaurant B (both accurate and not accurate) = 337

Probability of first order from B = 337/1131

Probability of second order from B = 336/1130

Probability of third order from B = 335/1129

Probability of the first three orders from B = 337/1131 × 336/1130 × 335/1129

Probability of the first three orders from B = 0.026

What is the temperature in degrees Celsius that is equivalent to a temperature of 40 F?
Ludmilka [50]
Hi! So given the equation you are given, you plug in 40 for F, making your equation look like this: C=(5/9)(40-32). Using PEDMAS, Subtract 32 from 40 which gives you 8 and then multiply by 8. Your answer as an improper fraction should be 40/9 which you can then reduce to 4(4/9).

What is 12x³ – 9x² – 4x + 3 in factored form?

(4x-3) (3x²-1) is incorrect by the way.
Lena [83]

Answer:

 (4x -3)(√3x -1)(√3x +1)

Step-by-step explanation:

Your factoring is correct for integers. However the quadratic term can be factored further using irrational coefficients. It is the difference of the squares of (√3)x and 1, so can be factored as such.

 12x³ -9x² -4x +3 = 3x²(4x -3) -(4x -3) = (3x² -1)(4x -3)

 = ((√3)x -1)((√3)x +1)(4x -3) . . . . . . further factoring the difference of squares
