The real profit earned by a company during a particular period is Accounting Profit; Economic Profit means the company is earning the abnormal profit, i.e. profit in excess of what is needed to cover the expenses. Normal Profit arises when Total Revenue (TR) = Total Cost (TC).

Distinguish between accounting profit, economic profit, and normal profit.

The company's net income for a certain accounting year is known as the accounting profit. Economic profit is the balance that remains after all expenditures and revenues have been subtracted. The smallest amount of profit required for its survival is called normal profit.

How entrepreneurs allocate resources between different business ventures?

Sales revenue less explicit costs, such as materials and labor costs, etc., equal accounting profit.

The accounting profit you could have possibly made in another (or alternative) company venture is the same as normal profit. This enables us to accurately calculate the opportunity cost of the ongoing business project. Since a firm's owner would eventually shut it down if a typical profit were not being made, economists consider normal profits as costs. A regular profit is a cost because the entrepreneur must maintain the business to make a profit.

Accounting profit less any additional implicit costs to the business equals economic profit. This includes the capacity for entrepreneurship, forfeited interest, lost wages, etc.

Entrepreneurs transfer resources amongst various business initiatives based on economic return. Economic profit indicates whether a business venture is making more money than average (more than other alternative business ventures on average), and if it is more than zero, more resources will go toward this activity. When economic profit is negative, the opposite is true.

Explanation:

Sonya celebrity is suing Fame Magazine for written defamation (called libel). Libel is considered a tort (a civil wrongdoing), so Sonya Celebrity´s lawsuit will be a civil one.

Fame Magazine´s lawyer will try to use the First Amendment of the US Constitution in their defense. It states as following:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

This amendment is part of the Bill of Rights (first ten amendments of the US Constitution) and was ratified in 1791. It prohibits Congress or any State or local legislature to pass any law that infringes on the freedom of the press.

When the activity level increases by 15%, net operating income in the flexible budget will ordinarily increase by?
schepotkina [342]

When the activity level increases by 15%, net operating income in the flexible budget will ordinarily increase by -more than 15% b/c fixed costs do not increase with changes in activity.

What is Net operating income?

 • Net income in business and accounting is an entity's revenue less costs, depreciation and amortization, interest, and taxes for a certain accounting period..

 • Net Operating Income, or NOI for short, exists a formula those in real estate use to quickly calculate the profitability of a particular investment. After deducting essential operational costs, NOI calculates the revenue and profitability of investment real estate property.

 • By deducting all annual expenses from income, the NOI formula determines how profitable a potential investment property is over the course of a single year.

 • After all costs have been deducted, operating profit displays a company's earnings, excluding the cost of debt, taxes, and some one-time expenses.

 • Net income, on the other hand, represents the profit remaining after all costs incurred in the period have been subtracted from revenue generated from sales.

Hence, When the activity level increases by 15%, net operating income in the flexible budget will ordinarily increase by -more than 15% b/c fixed costs do not increase with changes in activity.

One factor that affects the elasticity of demand for labor is its share of total production costs. The greater labor's share of
blondinia [14]

Answer:

The greater labor's share of production costs, the higher elasticity of demand for labor.

When labor costs are a high share of total production costs, the elasticity of labor demand is higher. For example, customer service jobs like fast foods, or gas pumping, have high labor costs as a percentage of total production costs, and these sectors have a very elastic labor demand.

you would expect the demand for human ski instructors to be less elastic the demand for human factory workers.

In the year 2035, with robots having replaced most humans in factory jobs, occupations such as ski instructor, or dance instructor, or musician, would have a low labor demand elasticity because these skills are not easily learned, or easily replicated by a robot, meaning that the humans specialized in those jobs will be more demanded, and the demand for their labor will be more stable.
