The Progressive Era is more frequently remembered for its significant internal improvements. A crucial component in drawing attention to the social harm caused by the excesses of earlier eras would be newspapers and print media. These undoubtedly had a significant impact on how the public debated important topics, increasing awareness of them and shedding light on hidden truths.

In addition, the media served as a messenger for social, political, and economic issues. During the Progressive era, journalists and authors not only disseminated information by exposing misconduct in politics and business, but many intrepid reporters also discussed social, political, and economic issues and led the charge for better and more accurate information.

A tradition of reform was established during the Progressive Era and has persisted in American culture ever since. Because they were breaking federal law, monopolies were dismantled. Numerous commercial associations and professional, civic, and religious organizations were established. They made people's lives better both individually and collectively.
