He was the one that wrote the piece that is talked about in the question. His best work is called the 24 Capricci for solo violin. This man was called the devil's violinist. The reason was that he was so good that people said the devil would be the only one to have given him such a gift.

He was also knwon for the fact that he would do his recitals without any sheets. He memorized everything.
