Prostate cancer affects only men and it involves abnormal growths in the prostate. The prostate is an important part of the male reproductive system as it is a small walnut-sized shape organ gland that nourishes and transports the sperm to the eggs for fertilization. When prostate cancer occurs, it leads to painful urination, blood in the Urine and semen, and as a result unhealthy sperm and infertility. It is common in old people.

What is Endometriosis?

Endometriosis affects women and involves the external growth of tissues that are meant to line the uterus. This external growth affects the ovaries and Fallopian tube and prevents the eggs from fertilization and to an extent implantation of the zygote into the uterus.

 • Endometriosis is an often painful disorder that affects women. It is a disorder in which tissue (the endometrium) that normally lines the inside of your uterus grows outside it. Endometriosis might involve ovaries, fallopian tubes, and the tissue lining the pelvis. Irritations of the surrounding tissue can develop scar tissue and adhesions (bands of fibrous tissue) that can cause pelvic tissues and organs to stick to each other.
 • The main problem which appears as a consequence of endometriosis is infertility. The food thing is that there are effective treatments. To reduce/avoid the risks you should talk to your doctor about hormonal birth control methods; such as pills, patches, or rings with lower doses of estrogen, exercising regularly (more than 4 hours a week), avoiding large amounts of alcohol, and avoiding a large number of drinks with caffeine.
 • The pituitary gland is called the master gland because it produces hormones that control other glands and many body functions including growth. For example, the thyroid gland - The pituitary gland secretes a hormone into the bloodstream that stimulates the thyroid to release its hormones. The thyroid helps regulate metabolism.

Which of these actions is an example of practicing delayed gratification rather than acting on an impulse
Elenna [48]

The correct answer is: C. Ordering a salad instead of a burger at lunch

From the options listed above, ordering a salad instead of a burger at lunch, is the best example of practicing delayed gratification rather than acting on an impulse. When you crave a burger (an unhealthier food choice), but order a salad instead (a less palatable, yet much healthier food choice), you are delaying gratification you would obtain from a burger, and showing restraint by not acting on your impulse to eat a burger. Restraint and impulse control indicate maturity, emotional stability and overall better life outcomes, compared to acting impulsively and opting for immediate gratification.

A nurse teaches a patient with dehydration about maintaining safe intravenous therapy at home. Which statement made by the patie
Andrej [43]

A patient who is undergoing intravenous therapy should not perform isometric exercises because it may lead to bleeding and injury at the injection site. During a shower, the patient should protect the injection site and dressing from getting wet by covering it with plastic. Applying pressure with sterile gauze at the injection site if the catheter falls out helps to reduce bleeding. Inflammation and itching at the injection site may be an indication of infection and phlebitis; the patient should report these manifestations immediately.
