Microscopy is not a method used to detect extrasolar planets.

Methods of detecting exoplanets:

Any planetary body beyond the solar system that typically orbits a star other than the Sun is referred to as an extrasolar planet, often known as an exoplanet. There are 3,779 planetary systems with 3,108 confirmed exoplanets as of 1 July 2022, 826 of which contain multiple planets. The Kepler space telescope was responsible for most of these discoveries.

Exoplanets contain elements that are comparable to those found in our solar system, but their compositions of those elements may vary. Iron or carbon may dominate some planets, whilst water or ice may rule others.

The following methods have at least once proved successful for discovering an extrasolar planet or detecting an already discovered planet:

 • Radial velocity
 • Transit photometry
 • Ellipsoidal variations
 • Pulsar timing
 • Variable star timing
 • Transit timing
 • Transit duration variation
 • Eclipsing binary minima timing
 • Gravitational microlensing
 • Direct imaging

Why do scientists study fossils?
Tasya [4]
Hi,

By studying fossils, scientists can learn how life has changed over time, how earth's surface has changed and what past environments were like. Fossils form when living things die and are buried by sediment; they are usually found in Sedimentary rock. Only the hard parts of organisms generally leave fossils because the soft parts generally decay too quickly to fossilize. In case you didn't know, there are two types of fossils; rock fossils and preserved fossils.

Option c) is the correct option above.

c) Fossils give information about the time period in which organisms lived in the past.

Why is oxygen important for all body cells?
Masja [62]

Answer:

Our body cells require oxygen to release energy.

Explanation:

The oxygen that we take in during respiration is used to break down the food we eat to release energy from it. When we breathe in oxygen, it diffuses into blood from the lung, where it is transported by red blood cells to the entire body to be used to produce energy.
