One way that the Quran was decorated during the Golden Age of Islam was by the use of Calligraphy.

How was the Quran decorated?

The Islamic Golden Age brought with it major inventions and innovations in the Muslim world which led to them being a leader in various aspects.

One such aspect was art. The Islamic Golden Age saw the promulgation of various art forms such as ceramics, calligraphy, textiles and woodwork.

Calligraphy especially, became a major way to decorate the Quran by writing its texts in calligraphy as well as its cover.

Art forms that included illustrations of humans or the Prophet Muhammad were fiercely forbidden as Islamic creed believes that such things might lead to idolatry.

In conclusion, Calligraphy is correct.

Answer:

I think any relationship between the Indus Valley and the deep Dravidian south is unlikely because of the vast gap in space and time. About 2,000 years and 2,000 miles. But linguistically, if the Indus script is understood, we may hopefully find that the proto-Dravidian roots of the Harappa language and South Indian Dravidian languages are similar.
