The ordered pairs of Nicole and Ian's sequence pattern are:(5,1),(17,3),(53,5),(161,10),(485,20).

Given that Nicole uses the  rule multiply by 3 then add 2 starting with it and Ian uses the rule add 1/2 then multiply by 2 starting from 0,

We ar rquired to find the ordered pairs of Nicole's and Ian's rules.

We are told that Nicole's pattern is multiply by 3 then add 2 starting with 1.

Thus Nicole's pattern is :5,17,53,161,485.

Ian's pattern is add 1/2 then multiply by 2 and starting with 0.Thus the  numbers are :1,3,5,10,20.

If we combine the numbers of both the person'rule then we will get the ordered pairs which can be written as under:

The ordered pairs are (5,1),(17,3),(53,5),(161,10),(485,20).

Hence the ordered pairs are (5,1),(17,3),(53,5),(161,10),(485,20).

Reduce to lowest term. 2x^2- 18/x^2+4x-21
Dovator [93]

Answer:

\frac{2(x+3)}{x+7}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

\frac{2x^2-18}{x^2+4x-21} ← factorise numerator and denominator

2x² - 18 ( factor out 2 from each term )

= 2(x² - 9) ← difference of 2 squares

= 2(x - 3)(x + 3)

and

x² + 4x - 21 = (x + 7)(x - 3) , then

= \frac{2(x-3)(x+3)}{(x+7)(x-3)} ← cancel common factor (x - 3) on numerator/ denominator

= \frac{2(x+3)}{x+7}

2x+3y=7 solve for y.
s2008m [1.1K]

Answer: y=1

Step-by-step explanation: y=1 because 2x2 =4 so 7-4=3, which means 3 time y(which is 1) equals 3 finally 4+3=7

Can I get the answer for this, but please explain how to find these things out too I don’t quite get it
umka2103 [35]

Answer: y = -2/3x + 5

Step-by-step explanation: you find the slope by finding “rise/run”. the rise is -2, and the run is 3, so the slope is -2/3. the y intercept is 5

Solve for x. Enter the solutions from least to greatest. 3x^2 – 33x + 54 = 0
GarryVolchara [31]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

3x² - 33x + 54 = 0

Divide the whole equation by 3

x²- 11x + 18 = 0

Sum = -11

Product = 18

Factors = -9 , -2              { - 9 + (-2) = -11  ; (-9) *(-2) = 18}

x² - 2x - 9x  + -9 * -2 = 0

x(x - 2) - 9(x - 2) = 0

(x-2)(x-9) = 0

x - 2 = 0   ; x - 9 = 0

x = 2  ;x = 9

Lesser x = 2

greater x = 9
