A Conflict theorist would be most likely to ask why "environmental labor" is free.

According to conflict theory, dominance and power, not agreement and conformity, preserve social order. Conflict theory holds that people who are wealthy and powerful try to maintain their position by any means necessary, most notably by repressing the weak and helpless.

Conflict theory's fundamental tenet is that members of society will compete with one another to gain the most wealth and influence possible.

According to conflict theory, social and economic structures serve as weapons in conflicts between groups or classes, preserving inequality and the power of the ruling class.

Many different societal conflicts throughout history can be explained using the main principles of conflict theory.

How did the Silk Road connect the known world in ancient times? Your answer should be at least 4 to 5 sentences long.
Dovator [93]

The Silk Road was a vast trade network connecting Eurasia and North Africa via land and sea routes. Advances in technology and increased political stability caused an increase in trade. The opening of more trade routes caused travelers to exchange many things: animals, spices, ideas, and diseases. A network of mostly land but also sea trading routes, the Silk Road stretched from China to Korea and Japan in the east, and connected China through Central Asia to India in the south and to Turkey and Italy in the west. Those going by sea braved the uncertainties of weather, poorly constructed ships, and pirates.
